TROY (WWJ) – After the Tigers big win Thursday night against the Oakland A’s, baseball fans are talking about who they’d like the team to play next.

“I would rather play Baltimore, the Yankees scare me, I saw them last year and we did beat them but I think we could do better against Baltimore,” said Greg Cousins of Grosse Pointe. “I think New York would have our number.”

Gary Belknap thinks a Baltimore match-up would be best: “I just like the match-up and the Tigers have the home field, you know they start at home, so, I’m tired of the Yankees,” he said.

Sue Jackson goes against the tide saying she’d like to see the Yankees play Detroit next. “Just something about New York just to see the Tigers play them – I think that would be an awesome game,” she said.

WWJ’s Sandra McNeill caught up with Mike Landham of Troy buying a Miguel Cabrera ‘Triple Crown’ tee shirt at Hockey Town Authentic. “I think I’d like to play the Yankees … nobody expected Baltimore to be in there, and no one expected Oakland to be in there,” he said. “We had a hard time with Oakland, I think it would be easier with the Yankees.”

Todd Mercier said he’d like to see Baltimore and the home field advantage for Tigers: “The Tigers work better at home.”

Dan Hogan of Bloomfield Hills also picks the Orioles: “I’d like to see Baltimore because if we play Baltimore I’m going to the game tomorrow night.”
