Free-agent pitcher Anibal Sanchez will test the market, according to Joe Rexrode of the Detroit Free Press.
Sanchez was asked about returning to the Tigers next season and said he’s “open for anybody” but wouldn’t comment further. General manager Dave Dombrowski has stressed that bringing back Sanchez was going to be one of his main focuses this offseason. In 74 2/3 innings with the team after being acquired from Miami, Sanchez had a 3.74 ERA and a 3.68 FIP. He also pitched extremely well during the Tigers’ World Series run, with a 1.77 ERA during the postseason.
