DETROIT (WWJ) - A body was discovered inside a business on Detroit’s northwest side Friday morning.

Reporting live from the scene, WWJ’s Vickie Thomas said the body was found inside Lorielle’s Music, located in a multi-business office building near West McNichols Road and Prevost Avenue.

The body was apparently found by an employee reporting for work.

Investigators say the body is that of a young black man. His identity was not immediately known.

Police said it appears the man was shot to death, although they would not go into details.

A witness in the building told WWJ Newsradio 950 that they heard shots fired early Friday, shortly before police arrived.

An investigation is ongoing.
