Waterford Woman Critical After Car Strikes Utility Pole

WATERFORD (WWJ) – A Waterford woman is in critical condition following a rollover crash over the weekend.

Waterford Township police are investigating the accident that took place Sunday morning on Airport Road near Highland Road.

Police said the 35-year old woman at the wheel was the only one in her 2007 Ford Focus when it ran off the roadway causing it to roll over and strike a utility pole.  She was airlifted from the scene to University of Michigan Hospital.

Police believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

The woman’s name has not been released.
