GLITR Partners With VOA To Adopt Families For Holidays

DETROIT -- OK, it's almost Thanksgiving, so I'm ready to officially open the Christmas season.

And once again this year, we're doing that in a very special way at your Great Lakes Innovation and Technology Report. We're partnering with Volunteers of America - Michigan to encourage GLITR readers to "Adopt A Family" this holiday season.

Your gift of $150 will adopt a family of four, providing clothing for two children, food for a holiday meal, and a special gift for each child.

"Of course, any donation amount is appreciated," said Emilie Rohrbach, who runs Adopt A Family for VOA. "And if anyone wants to adopt a larger family, that's great. And if people want to make a bigger donation, we will adopt as many families as we can for whatever amount of money is given."

Donors can be as deeply involved or uninvolved in the family donation as they wish. You can personally donate the goodies, or remain completely anonymous -- it's up to you.
