Gear Stolen From Waterford Construction Site

WATERFORD TWP. (WWJ) - Police say $40,000 worth of construction equipment was stolen from a work site in Waterford Township.

Officers say they responded to a construction site in the area of Dixie and Farner around 8:30 a.m. Thursday after receiving a complaint that four motor and pump assemblies were stolen.

Police say the site foreman told them when he arrived for work that morning, he noticed four sets of Ditch Witch equipment were removed from trucks left at the site overnight.

The motors are described as 9HP Honda motors and the pumps are described as CMH 1000 gallon per minute pumps. The equipment, which is used in underground drilling systems, is valued at over $10,000 each.

An investigation is ongoing.
