MSU's Chances For Jabari Parker

By: Dennis Fithian

Jabari Parker has already appeared on the front cover of SI and is no doubt one of the best high school basketball players in the country. Michigan State has a legit shot at getting him to play for them next year, but so does Duke and a few others.

Spartan basketball fans Christmas wish list just moved up to December 20th. That's when Parker, the number one or two ranked high school basketball player in the country, will announce his decision on where he's going to play hoops next year.

The Chicago Sun-Times says Parker has Duke, BYU, Florida, Michigan State and Stanford among his final five.

Rico Beard a contributing writer from Spartanmag.com says that Parker is Kevin Durant type. When asked what type of shot MSU had at landing Parker, Beard called it a coin flip,
"I would probably say 49 percent." Beard said that landing the 6-8 Chicago land high school hoops legend would put the Spartans on "The fast track to the Final Four or National Championship next year."

Parker is set to announce his decision at this high school at four o'clock Thursday December 20th.
