Bonner Elected to the Michigan Economic Developers Association: The membership of the Michigan Economic Developers Association has elected Lukas Bonner, CEcD, EDFP, vice president of business development at Ann Arbor Spark, along with two others to its board of directors. Bonner's extensive economic development experience includes serving as economic development manager for the city of Sterling Heights, where he was the Sterling Heights Administrator of the Year in 2009, and as a development specialist for the city of Taylor. Bonner earned a master of liberal studies and public administration from Eastern Michigan University and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Michigan. He is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) from the International Economic Development Council and a certified Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) from the National Development Council. Bonner is a member of the executive advisory council for the Macomb OU-INCubator, where he had a successful application of $412,000 Economic Development Administration grant. He is also a Member of Michigan Municipal League Planning and Economic Development Committee, a 2010 graduate of Leadership Macomb and Member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, serving as an instructor for continuing education credits for real estate licensure. Luke's volunteer service with MEDA includes being on the Membership Committee from 2006-2008 and participating on the Annual Meeting Committee in 2007. Also elected was Michelle Aniol, DDA Administrator/Economic Development Coordinator, Lyon Township, and Lois Ellis, CEcD, EDFP, Vice President, Economic Development, Lake Superior Community Partnership.
