TROY (WWJ) – A Shelby Township man is facing child endangerment and a third drunken driving charge after he was spotted swerving while driving with his 4-year old child in the car.

The man was pulled over by police News Year’s Eve morning along Big Beaver near Rochester Road in Troy.

The 33-year-old motorist told officers he had consumed eight beers.

Police said the man’s blood alcohol level was 2.5 times the legal limit, and he was unable to tell officer from where he was coming or where he was headed.

The child endangerment charge was filed because the child was in the car. There were also two dogs on board.

No one was hurt.  The man’s name was not immediately released.
