DETROIT (CBS Detroit) What’s better than spending time with the world’s largest truck? Perhaps it’s this: spending time with a giant truck that looks like a zombie.

Big truck fans will get up close and personal with The Zombie, a truck driven by Sean Duhon, at only its second-ever stop this weekend in Detroit. The Zombie will be among numerous monster trucks at the Monster Jam at 7 p.m. Saturday at Ford Field in Detroit.

At this event four popular monster truck drivers will make homecoming appearances: Frank Krmel, of Roseville, will drive Advance Auto Parts Grinder; Chris Bergeron, of Chesterfield, will drive Brutus; and, Jim Koehler, of Columbus, will drive Avenger while his brother Steve Koehler, of Chesterfield, will drive Wrecking Crew.

Overall, the monster trucks are about 12 feet tall and 12 feet wide, and sit atop 66-inch-tall tires. Built for short, high-powered bursts of speed, monster trucks generate 1,500 to 2,000 horsepower and are capable of speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. Monster trucks can fly up to 125 to 130 feet — a distance greater than 14 cars side by side — and up to 35 feet in the air.

The Zombie is a 10,000 pound truck built to fans’ specifications, with big yellow eyes and a bloody zombie grin.

“The fans voted, they wanted to see a zombie,” said Duhon, a former New Orleans Sheriff’s deputy who now drives the big truck.

Those two jobs have something in crazy.

“It’s all about driving crazy,” Duhon said, laughing.

He added that what’s bad for him would be good for the fans, saying he doesn’t want to wreck his new ride, but it would be something for the fans to see.

“Hey, it’s all for the fans,” he said.

Monster jam seats start at $20 and go up to $55 for the front row. Get tickets HERE.

There are special passes available at Metro PCS stores to let visitors get into the pit between 2 and 5 p.m. Saturday to see the trucks up close and personal. Pit passes are also available for $10 HERE.

“We’re all gonna be out here, every trucks going to be here,” Duhon said
