Auto Show Gears Up For Weekend Finale

DETROIT (WWJ) - If you haven't been to the 2013 North American International Auto Show - this weekend is your last chance.

Ron Shaeffer of Harrison Township was there Friday. He says he likes the GM display and the Cadillac ELR.

"I like the idea of being able to drive without spending money on gas," said Shaeffer.

Dave Gilbert of Birmingham has been to the Auto Show twice already, once on his own and today, with his family.

He likes the New Corvette, the Mazarati, and the Ferrari, but he's also looking to buy a vehicle.

"We are (looking) for an SUV ..." said Gilbert. "That's why we are looking at the Arcadia and the Traverse ... we'll probably buy this summer."
Many people tell WWJ their favorite car is the new Corvette, and a lot also like the Ferrari and Mazarati.

The Auto Show runs through Sunday at Cobo Center where you can take in the sights and sounds of NAIAS. With over 500 vehicles to peruse, plan on giving yourself plenty of time to wander.

Displays will run the gamut from single-story offerings to multi-level audio/visual powerhouses that will present an unbelievable experience not be missed. As in past years, many of the manufacturers keep the exact design of their displays secret until they are put together in Cobo, so be ready to experience all they have to offer.
