Avalon Technologies Marks 10th Anniversary, Tiger Deal, Dell Certification
BLOOMFIELD HILLS -- Avalon Technologies Inc. Thursday announced its 10th anniversary in business, specializing in IT services, consulting and implementation.
Also, Avalon marked the successful launch of the refreshed data center and hardware consolidation at Comerica Park for the Detroit Tigers.
Avalon also announced it had achieved Premier Partner status within Dell's PartnerDirect program.

The completed Tiger data center project is the second successful in-house data center upgrade project for an organization owned by Illitch Holdings, Inc. Avalon Technologies also provided consultation and services to upgrade data center technologies for the Detroit Red Wings, making the two team systems compatible in leveraging resources and disaster recovery.
During the six month project, Avalon Technologies designed and installed an in-house data center that gives the Tigers' IT department more speed and responsiveness for scores, game statistics and play-by-play video presentations. The data center now has better post game editing capabilities and more capacity for long-term storage of high definition videos.
