Tips Sought In Death Of Young Detroit Mother

DETROIT (WWJ) - Authorities are seeking tips from the public in the investigation into the death of Dynasty Myles, whose body was found in a vacant Detroit home.

Police say the 23-year-old's body was found Feb. 5 at an abandoned home on Log Cabin near the Lodge Freeway on the city's west side.

Evidence collected at the scene by police suggest Myles was dragged into the home against her will, but officials are not saying how long her body had been there.

An exact cause of death has yet to be determined, but police are treating the case as a homicide.

Myles, who has a young daughter, had been missing since New Year's Day. She was last reported seen around 10 p.m. at Benihana at the Fairlane Town Center in Dearborn. Police say she had placed a carry-out order at the Japanese restaurant but never picked it up. Her car was found in the restaurant's parking lot, but there was no trace of Myles.

Police are hoping someone who knows something about what happened to Myles, a Detroit resident, will speak up.

Police in Detroit and Dearborn are involved in the investigation. Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a $1,000 reward for information in the case.

Anyone with information on Myles' whereabouts is asked to contact the Dearborn Police at 313-943-3012 or Crime Stoppers ar 1-800-SPEAK-UP. You can also submit a tip online at www.1800speakup.org, or text "CSM" and your tip to CRIMES (274637).
