Young Boy Falls From Second-Story Window

DEARBORN HEIGHTS (WWJ) - A 3-year-old boy has been rushed to the hospital after falling out of a second-story window at a Dearborn Heights home.

Dearborn Heights fire officials told WWJ Newsradio 950 it happened Wednesday afternoon on Monroe Street, near Telegraph Road.

The boy is in serious condition at Children's Hospital.  It appears he suffered head injuries.

Local 4 News reported the child had placed a stool next to the window before climbing and falling out of the window. The boy's mother was reportedly in another room at the time the accident occurred.

The boy's name has not been released.
