ANN ARBOR (WWJ) – DTE Energy is investigating two power outages which affected about 6,000 homes and businesses in Southeast Michigan.

DTE spokesman Len Singer said in Warren, about 2,000 customers were without power in an area near 8 Mile Road and Van Dyke.  Crews are investigating what caused the outage.

About 4,000 customers lost power in Ann Arbor, with some of the outages affecting the University of Michigan campus. Singer said crews repaired a problem with a circuit at a substation, but power was restored by around noon.
