CareTech Cares at HIMSS13

NEW ORLEANS -- CareTech Solutions, an IT and Web products and services provider for more than 200 U.S. hospitals, announced a new corporate philanthropy project that will complement the company's trade show activities called CareTech Cares.

CareTech Cares will kick off at the HIMSS13 Annual Conference & Exhibition in New Orleans this week. . In lieu of receiving a trinket, all visitors to HIMSS13 booth 1911 will be invited to throw Mardi Gras beads into one of three containers; one each for the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity and the American Cancer Society. Each bead is worth one dollar and at the conclusion of the conference each charity will receive a donation from CareTech Solutions in the amount of the number of beads collected.

"From the beginning, CareTech's policy has been to assume the duties and responsibilities of a good corporate citizen," said Colleen Hanley, vice president for marketing, communications and government affairs at CareTech Solutions. "With the addition of CareTech Cares, the company will donate even more money in 2013. By redirecting the monies we would have spent on booth trinkets, which usually go in the trash, our brand will now have a greater impact by contributing to three non-profit organizations known for their exceptional work at improving the quality of people's lives."
