EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan State coach Tom Izzo has seen plenty, but this may be a first.

The eighth-ranked Spartans (24-7, 13-5 Big Ten) travel to Chicago this week for a Big Ten Tournament that includes four top 10 teams. None of Izzo’s six Final Four appearances have included four top 10 teams.

Izzo said Tuesday he expects one of the crazier tournament’s he’s ever seen. He isn’t worried about fatigue with his team following its second-place conference showing and that the Spartans are still in the confidence-building stage, making this tournament even more important than it has been in recent years.

Izzo also said he believes the grueling conference schedule will help his team in postseason play.
