DETROIT (WWJ) – The iconic electric vehicle brand, Detroit Electric, has been revitalized, and will begin producing an all-electric sports car in the USA.
The company has established its headquarters in the city of Detroit, and its manufacturing operations will be in the Detroit metropolitan area.
Don Graunstadt will be the CEO, of North America Operations at Detroit Electric.
A site has also been identified to assemble the electric sports car in Michigan, with production to start in August. The dedicated production facility will have an annual capacity of 2,500 sports cars.
Detroit Electric aims to create over 180 sales and manufacturing-related jobs over the next 12 months.
