Police Investigate Link Between Random Car Shootings In Washtenaw County

BRIDGEWATER TWP. (WWJ) – Someone is shooting at cars in Washtenaw County — but are they related?

Michigan State Police say two moving vehicles were hit in Bridgewater Township. Both shootings took place Monday on Austin Road, north of Michigan Avenue around 6 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

Police are trying to figure out if a similar incident in Pittsfield Township is related. In that incident, a moving car was hit by a bullet on Michigan Avenue at 6:15 p.m. — just eight miles away from the first two shootings.

The 72-year-old driver in that incident was not injured.
