Fans Celebrate Tourney Run, Look Forward To Next Year

ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - Over 11,000 Michigan fans watched their Wolverines lose in the National Championship game at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor.

WWJ Newsradio caught up with a pretty sad one on Monday night:

"I haven't left Crisler yet, I'm one of the last ones here - crying my eyes out," lamented Drew Wood of Farmington Hills. "It's devastating to be honest."

Although Wood did a quick optimistic turn: "Michigan basketball is back with John Beilein," he said. "Mark my words!"

Other fans found their way to local hot spots, like Good Time Charlie's Bar in Ann Arbor.

Covering their faces in the final seconds - fans watched and became more subdued:

"What happened was; we unfortunately lost," said Chris Miller. "I'm incredibly upset, I'm a senior - I wanted this - we needed us to win, but ... it didn't happen."

Michigan lost to Louisville with a final score of 82-76.
