“42” based on the life of baseball pioneer Jackie Robinson is set to come out shortly. These are, in my opinion, the three best sports movies of all-time:

1. Raging Bull – It is considered one of the greatest movies ever by most critics for good reason. Robert De Niro’s performance as boxer Jake LaMotta is brilliant.

2. Field of Dreams – I’ve seen this movie at least a dozen times. Not once haven’t I cried. Very touching.

3. Slap Shot – It is impossible not to laugh at the antics of the Hanson brothers. A true classic which has withstood the test of time.
