Teen Charged In Pontiac Man's Murder

PONTIAC (WWJ) - The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said they've made an arrest in connection with a murder in Pontiac.

Eighteen-year old Charona Williams is being held without bond in the Oakland County Jail after being arraigned on charges of felony murder and armed robbery. Williams, who has one prior conviction for retail fraud, is due back in court for a preliminary exam on April 16.

Police say the charges stem from the death of 29-year old Rashone Johnson. Investigators said Johnson was found around 1 a.m. on April 6 outside of a home in the 400 block of Central Avenue, near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard., suffering from several gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a hospital where he later died.

Detectives say they're continuing their investigation and have other suspects and leads, and therefore declined to further discuss circumstances surrounding the case.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact the Oakland County Sheriff's Office at 248-858-4911.
