Firefighters Busy On Detroit’s West Side

DETROIT (WWJ) – Firefighters in Detroit are currently battling a series of fires on the city’s west side.

Fire broke out early Saturday morning on Tyler and LaSalle streets, near Linwood and Davison Street.

It appears the fire may have started in a vacant five-story apartment building and spread to nearby homes, which are also apparently vacant.

One of the vacant properties has collapsed and there have been reports of wires down in the area.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.
