Detroit Police Search For Hit-And-Run Driver

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police in Detroit are searching for clues after a man was killed while crossing the street on the city's northeast side.

The accident happened around 8:20 p.m. Monday at Gratiot and Sanford avenues. Investigators say a driver behind the wheel of a dark-colored vehicle hit and killed a man before fleeing the scene.

Police did not immediately release the victim's identity.
