Boyfriend Charged In Flint Woman's Death

FLINT (WWJ/AP) - Murder and other charges have been filed against the boyfriend of a 27-year-old Flint woman whose body was found miles away near a road in Monroe County.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton announced the charges Friday against Henry Conner in connection with the slaying of Tanisha Colton, a mother of three.

Conner will be arraigned in Flint District Court. It wasn't immediately known if he has an attorney yet.

Family and friends had been searching for Colton for about two weeks after she went missing after work until a motorist found her body March 25 in a roadside ditch in Monroe County's Ash Township.

The site is about 30 miles southwest of Detroit and 70 miles south of Flint.

Michigan State Police are becoming more concerned that that area, along the Wayne-Monroe county border, has become a dumping ground for dead bodies. (More on this here).
