Suspicious Fire At Detroit Apartment Building

DETROIT (WWJ) – Arson investigators are looking into a suspicious fire at an apartment building on Detroit’s east side.

A Detroit Fire Department dispatcher said it said the blaze broke out late Sunday morning on the second floor of the building on East Jefferson and McClellan Street.

A woman was taken to a local hospital, but the dispatcher said it turned out she suffered only from hyperventilation.

No one else was hurt.

It was not immediately clear how many apartment units were damaged.

The fire remains under investigation.
