Caputo: Three Most Underrated Players On The Detroit Tigers

By: Pat Caputo

1. Omar Infante – Infante is a solid hitter with a relatively live bat, who has far better range defensively than most major league second basemen.

2. Drew Smyly – He has an ERA of 1.35, a WHIP (walks and hits per innings pitched) of 0.85 and 21 strikeouts in 20 innings. Smyly has been beyond good so far this season. He has been outstanding.

3. Jhonny Peralta – The Tigers often-maligned shortstop has quietly played well both offensively and defensively this season.
