DETROIT (WWJ) – Detroit police are searching for clues after a man was found shot to death on the city’s west side.

Police say the body of a black male in his 20s was found early Wednesday morning in alcove of a building on Lahser Road, between Grand River Avenue and McNichols Road. He was dead on the scene when police arrived.

A crime scene investigator said they pulled a bullet from the framing around the alcove, but that’s about all they have to go on. The investigator also said there wasn’t any blood at the scene where the body was found.

The man’s name wasn’t immediately released. An investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detroit police at 313-596-2260 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
