Police Ask For Help Locating 85-Year-Old Detroit Woman Missing Over A Month

DETROIT (WWJ) – An 85-year old Detroit woman has been missing now for a month. Violet Asaro was last seen at her apartment, the Central Senior Towers Center in southwest Detroit– April 10th.

Susan Hatcher-Wilson is lay minister at Asaro’s church. She says Asaro’s husband died in February and she has no family in the area.

“Everybody in southwest neighborhood knew her … she was out everyday, she was there a lot even before she moved to that area because of church and nobody has seen her,” said Hatcher-Wilson. “It’s just like she vanished.”

Asaro is 5’4″, white with green eyes and gray-reddish hair.
