Peter Littrup, M.D. of Karmanos Cancer Institute describes SoftVue, a new form of ultrasound that is pain-free and intended to replace mammography.
According to the manufacturer, Delphinus Medical Technologies’ official site, SoftVue is a tomographic ultrasound imaging device that scans women’s breasts for the presence of masses. The system provides superior image quality and provides information that is not available from any existing screening process.
