Report: Detroit Lions Expected To Create Bowl Game

If you're a big fan of the Little Caesars Bowl you may want to plan on making the trip to Detroit for it this December, for it is looking like it will be your last chance to see the game.

According to ESPN.com's Brett McMurphy, the Detroit Lions are expected to start their own bowl game that will be played at Ford Field in 2014. The game, which would likely be a matchup of the Big Ten and ACC, would eliminate the Little Caesars Bowl played at Ford Field. The bowl game originated after the 1997 season as the Motor City Bowl and had four different sponsors before becoming the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl in 2009.
