This week on Michigan Matters, illiteracy is a huge problem in our state, but there are many organizations working to address the crisis.

Host Carol Cain talks with Liza McFadden, Executive Director of the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy; Rob Tiede, the Director of the Michigan Chapter; and Carol Goss, Executive Director of the Skillman Foundation.

Cheryl Coleman, President and CEO of Northeast Guidance Center in Detroit, also stops by to talk about mental health issues.
