Tigers outfielder Austin Jackson started his rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo Monday night. Jackson looked rusty, going 0 for 5 with three strikeouts in his first game back from a hamstring strain.

Jackson was the designated hitter for the Mud Hens in a 12-4 win over Rochester. Jackson will play the outfield Tuesday for Toledo, according to manager Jim Leyland, MLive.com reports.
