Police: Sex Attacker Came In Through Unlocked Door

ROCHESTER HILLS (WWJ) - Rochester Hills police are looking for a man who they say walked into a home and sexually assaulted a resident.

Police said the woman was sleeping on her sofa at her apartment on Woodview Court, near Rochester Road, when she woke up to find a stranger standing over her.

Police said the man forced the victim to perform a sex act, and told her, "Please do not call the police," before fleeing on foot.

The woman, who was otherwise unharmed, called 911 and an Oakland County Sheriff's Department K-9 unit tracked the man about 100 yards before losing his scent.

Police said suspect — described as a black male, approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall — entered and exited the woman's home through an unlocked sliding glass door.

An investigation continues. Anyone with information should call Rochester Hills police.
