Matt Smith Records ‘Doctor Who’ Thank You Video In Detroit

Matt Smith, the star and title character of “Doctor Who” released a video thanking his fans and colleagues. In the video Smith is seen in Detroit near the corner of Lafayette St. and Cass Ave. after wrapping a night of shooting on the Ryan Gosling film “How To Catch A Monster”.

Cast members have reportedly been staying at the Doubletree Hotel on the same block among other hotels around town.

Gosling has been a focal point of local news and bloggers during his time shooting the movie around the city.

On June 1, the BBC announced the actor would be leaving the show after four years. “Doctor Who” is an iconic sci-fi TV show. It first aired in 1963 and is a significant part of British culture.
