ALBION (WWJ) — Patriot Solar Group is heading west again this year for the Intersolar 2013 exhibition July 8-11 in San Francisco.
Patriot Solar is a rapidly growing solar energy rack and mount systems manufacturer, based in Albion.
Patriot offers a full line of mounting products, including fixed ground mounts, pole mounts, single and dual-axis tracking mounts, as well as many off-grid power products. In addition, PSG offers commercial installation services, including racking assembly, installation of post driven and ballasted ground mounts, and panel installation.
Patriot officials say the past year has brought unprecedented growth that shows no signs of slowing, so the company decided to open a regional office in Ft. Myers, Fla. The office will be staffed by Dave Tingley.
Patriot says it’s expanding its headquarters in Michigan as well, allowing for more warehouse and office space. Dyan Sykora was brought in as distribution manager at headquarters to strengthen PSG’s distribution network. Patriot also welcomes Jeff Novak as director of operations and finance.
Company marketing coordinator Eloy Trevino said the company has doubled its staff over the past year to 30 employees.
Patriot has also been busy developing and delivering custom pole mounts to installers in New York who are taking advantage of generous state solar initiatives. The fixed-pole mount designs hold 15 panels each, which together provide 3.5 kilowatts of solar energy.
The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority has issued an ongoing Solar PV Financial Incentive offering residential customers $1.40 per watt for installing up to 7kw of PV. Responding to their client’s requests PSG designed a custom pole mount that not only delivers based on the custom configuration needs, but also offers the best complete pricing for a 3.5kw pole mount in the industry.

At Intersolar 2013, Patriot Solar Group will be displaying many of its new, cutting-edge products, including its carport-shade structure. Both Patriot’s post-driven and ballasted ground mounts will also be on display along with PSG’s unique telescoping post and multiple-angle adjustment, plate enabling height alteration, as well as 10-30 degrees of post-tilt variance on the Ballasted Ground Mount. This unique, patent pending design enables the ballast block to follow the contour of an uneven surface, while maintaining the desired module tilt angle.
Also on display will be many of Patriot’s off-grid power systems, as well as its roof mount design.
