13-Year-Old Charged With Sister's Stabbing
FLINT (WWJ/AP) - A 13-year-old girl is charged with assault with intent to murder after authorities in Flint say she stabbed her 18-year-old sister during an argument.
Police say the incident happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday at the girls' home in the 1700 block of West Genesee, in a neighborhood near Clio Road and West Pasadena Avenue.
When officers arrived at the home, the 18-year-old had already been taken to the hospital. She was last was listed in critical condition.
Police haven't released any further details on the case.
The Genesee County prosecutor's office says the 13-year-old is charged as a juvenile. She's being held at the Genesee Valley Regional Detention Center.
An investigation is ongoing.
