SOMERSET TOWNSHIP (AP) – Police say a 71-year-old Hillsdale County man who was reported missing by his family has been found dead of an apparent drowning.
The Jackson Citizen Patriot reports the body of Paul John Fornier of Somerset Township was found in Lake LeAnn near his home.
Officials say Fornier left a note saying he went to feed the fish, and when family went to look for him they found his cane and personal items by the water.
Police searched Friday, but stopped due to the weather. The search was to resume Saturday morning, but his body was found by family members.
