Humantech's New System Revolutionizes How Ergonomics is Managed

ANN ARBOR -- The ergonomics experts at Humantech Wednesday announced the release of its new all-in-one system for managing ergonomics in industry.

Developed by Humantech's team of board-certified professional ergonomists and our internal technology team, The Humantech System is designed to help companies get things done.

"The success of your ergonomics process should not be measured by the amount of time spent in training or in completing assessments, though both are important," said executive vice president James Mallon. "Success comes when effective changes are made to the workplace, tools, and equipment design. The faster improvements can be made, the better off you'll be."

By combining a blended learning model, often called the "flipped classroom," an industry-proven job improvement process, and mobile technology, The Humantech System enables users to spend less time in a classroom environment, and more time improving jobs in production areas.

The Humantech System has three key components:

Learn – Online Training. With access to six online training modules covering everything from principles of ergonomics to ergonomic design guidelines, users can select the most appropriate module(s) to view or review.

Do – The Job Improvement Process. Upon completing the online training, users will work alongside our certified professional ergonomists to assess and improve problem jobs using the tools provided by The Humantech System.

Manage – Data and Reporting. Ergonomics process owners can monitor the activities of the ergonomics team, track the status of improvement plans, and generate reports to support decision making.

During the system's implementation, Humantech's Ergonomists are there to support customers through a structured process Mallon calls "the 100-Day March."

"By the 100th day, your ergonomics process is internalized and significant gains will have been made," Mallon said.

Completing the online training, participating in expert-led improvement workshops, and adhering to a planned follow-up schedule will ensure that users gain the necessary confidence and skills to carry the process forward.
