INKSTER (WWJ) – Inkster police are searching for a suspect in what appears to be the city’s twelfth homicide this year.
Police say they were called to the Cherry Hill Manor apartment complex on Cherry Valley Drive around 9 p.m. Thursday after a woman found her 72-year-old father’s lifeless body.
After investigating the scene, police determined the woman’s father was killed “under suspicious circumstances” and declared his death a homicide.
Police say the woman told them that she has recently been stalked and harassed by an ex-boyfriend, and believes he might have something to do with her father’s death.
Unable to find the woman’s ex-boyfriend, who is now considered a suspect, police have turned to the public for help in tracking him down. Police released a photo of the man and said he drives a 2003 black BMW, but declined to provide his name.
Police say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
Anyone who knows the suspect or his whereabouts is asked to contact Inkster police at 313-563-9850 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
