5-Year-Old Dies After Being Found In Unlocked Car

ROMULUS (WWJ) – A Romulus boy has died after being found inside a hot car.

The incident happened Saturday night on New York Street, near Inkster and Eureka roads.

The five-year old wandered into the unlocked car while his grandparents, who were watching the boy and his younger sibling, were asleep.

Neighbors tell WWJ the family had just moved into that neighborhood.

A neighbor who did not want to be identified said the incident made her “angry” at first but ultimately “sad” because the family is hurting.

The boy was pronounced dead at Heritage Hospital in Taylor
