MLB Expected To Hand Down Suspensions Tied To Florida Drug Clinic

DETROIT (WWJ) - Today is the day that Major League Baseball will likely hand down suspensions tied to a Florida drug clinic, and a Detroit Tigers all star is expected to be among them.

After weeks of speculation and rumor, MLB is expected to hand down suspensions to the players allegedly involved in the Biogenesis of America anti-aging clinic investigation and scandal; a group that reportedly includes Tigers All-Star Shortstop Jhonny Peralta. Peralta was asked by reporters if Sunday's game was a tough one for him to play in, knowing it could be his last for awhile.

"No, not really; nothing, nothing to worry about ... play the game, I will play every day and try to enjoy every day," Peralta said.

The biggest punishment will reportedly be given to Yankees' third baseman Alex Rodriguez, who is expected to be suspended for the rest of this season and all of next season, although A-Rod says he plans to appeal any suspension he's given.
