85-Year-Old Roseville Woman Found In Detroit

ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - UPDATE 12:30 AM TUESDAY: Police confirm the missing Roseville woman has been found in Detroit and is in good condition. No other details were released.

Police are asking for the public's help to find an elderly woman who apparently wandered away from her Roseville home Sunday night.

Police were called to a house on the 27000 block of Demrick on a report that 85-year-old Violet Asaro went for a walk and never returned.

She was last seen talking toward Gratiot Avenue; and a K-9 team led officers to a bus stop there.

Detectives believe Asaro, who may be suffering from dementia, may be headed to see friends or family — possibly in her old neighborhood in the area of Dix and W. Vernor in Detroit.

Asaro is 5 feet, 5 inches tall with a very thin build. She has sandy brown shorter hair and hazel eyes, and was last seen wearing a black hair net, orange sweater or hoodie-type coat, black pants and pink beach shoes. She was carrying a black purse.

Police said Asaro may be at risk due to health issues.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call Roseville police at 586-775-2100.
