Clinton Twp. Police Investigating Third Possible Murder

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WWJ) - Clinton Township police are investigating what could be the third murder in that community in the past week.

Detectives plan to question a 38-year-old man in connection with a woman's body that was found in the Rudgate Clinton complex near 16 Mile and Groesbeck Highway over the weekend. The man is thought to be a friend of the 49-year-old woman.

Autopsy results on the woman are still pending, however, police reportedly believe the woman was killed. They were called to the victim's home after neighbors and relatives said they hadn't seen or heard from her in several days.

Just last week, a Clinton Township mother and her daughter were killed. A preliminary exam to determine if a 29-year-old man will stand trial in connection with their deaths is scheduled for Monday in Clinton Township District Court.

At this point, Jay Miller is only charged with lying to police and assaulting a police officer, but he's also being questioned about the murders of 47-year-old Tina Geiger and her 11-year-old daughter, Kristina. Both were mentally disabled. They lived in an apartment complex near Harper and Metro Parkway, next door to Miller's father.
