FREE Health Services For Wayne County Kids

DETROIT (WWJ) - Officials in Wayne County are working to help families get ready for back to school with important free health services.

The County Health Department is holding its annual back-to-school Health and Safety Fun Fest, Thursday in Wayne.
Children can get back-to-school immunizations, health and dental screenings, and the first 300 school-age kids who go get free backpacks and school supplies.

Adults can get free health and dental screenings too, and there's also a farmers market.

Wayne County's free health and safety fun fest runs through 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, on the grounds of the Health Department on Van Born in Wayne.
