Golden Rich Buns Recalled

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - A bakery recall affects Michigan and five other states.

Schwebel's Baking Company is recalling about 19,000 12-pack bags of its Golden Rich Buns because they may have been made with egg products that aren't labeled on the bag. That creates a potentially life-threatening problem for people with egg allergies.

The buns have "Best By" dates of Sept. 20 and Sept. 21 and can be identified by UPC Code #071319000838.

As of this date, there have been no adverse reaction complaints reported relating to this recall. The buns were distributed to stores in the following states in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, New York, and West Virginia, as well as Michigan.

Consumers may return the product to the place where purchased for a full refund or replacement. Consumers with questions may contact Schwebel Baking Company at 1-800-860-2867.
