Saving Souls And Making Movies: Local Pastor Knows "Anything Is Possible"
CANTON (WWJ) - An enthusiastic crowd filled the Emagine Canton Theatre - for the premiere of a movie was two years in the making, and was the brain-child of Executive Producer and Ecorse Pastor Marvin Miles.
"This is just overwhelming - we worked extremely hard to bring about a movie that going to highlight Detroit in a very positive manner," Miles told WWJ's Sandra McNeill.
The premiere of Anything is Possible stars Ethan Bortnick a child piano prodigy and Lacy Chabert of Mean Girls fame.
"A young boy loses some hope, runs away, and befriends a vet ... from that some amazing things happen and there is a nice ending," Miles added.
Bortnick started playing the piano at the age of three, composed his first song at five years old and set the Guinness World Record for becoming the youngest headline entertainer at the age of six.
Now at the age of twelve - Bortnick stars-in and is co-composer of the music in the film.
The movie will run at the Canton Theatre for several weeks and is available on DVD at Walmart.
