Entire Ohio State Football Team Embraces Broadcaster After Daughter Dies

Dom Hugs by WBNS10TV on YouTube

OK, it's not easy for anyone living in the Mitten State to get emotional about something coming out of Ohio.

But it turns out there is something even the most die-hard Wolverine or Spartan can agree on when it comes to Ohio.

In this instance, this very singular event, the entire Ohio State football team was a class act.

Every member of the team stopped on their way into the stadium to hug broadcaster Dom Tiberi, whose 21-year-old daughter had been killed in a car accident a few days before the game.

Tiberi got right back on air at the local CBS affiliate in Columbus, where he emotionally thanked his wife, his kids, and the team. "What they did at Ohio State the other day, Urban Meyer and Gene Smith, Buckeye nation, I am indebted to those folks for the rest of my life, what they did for the Tiberi family, there wasn't a dry eye in the house, and this is hard I'm not going to lie, but this is therapy ... You made a difference," he said.
