Technical Glitch Fixed: Bridge Card Program Restored

LANSING (AP) – Michigan’s Bridge Card program is back up and running. The system crashed Saturday due to a technical glitch. Shoppers using bridge cards were unable to make purchases due to a problem between retailers and Xerox, the company that provides high-tech services.

In addition to Michigan, 16 other states were affected … including Alabama, California, Georgia and Pennsylvania.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the outage was unrelated to the federal government shutdown.
