Technical Glitch Fixed: Bridge Card Program Restored

LANSING (AP) - Michigan's Bridge Card program is back up and running. The system crashed Saturday due to a technical glitch. Shoppers using bridge cards were unable to make purchases due to a problem between retailers and Xerox, the company that provides high-tech services.

In addition to Michigan, 16 other states were affected ... including Alabama, California, Georgia and Pennsylvania.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the outage was unrelated to the federal government shutdown.
