$5,000 Reward In EMU Player's Death; Funeral Sat.

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Police investigating the shooting death of Eastern Michigan University football player Demarius Reed are offering $5,000 for clues to his killer's identity and say they're looking for anyone who attended a party at the apartment complex where he was found dead.

A statement from police on the Ypsilanti school's website says the party at University Green Apartment complex took place Thursday night and into Friday morning.

Reed was found shot multiple times Friday at the off-campus apartment complex in what police say may be a robbery.

University President Sue Martin says the campus community "can all come together to support his family at this time." She says his funeral is Saturday at Holy Temple Evangelistic Church of God in Christ in Harvey, Ill.

The 20-year-old Chicagoan was a communications major.

Police ask anyone with information in the case to call 800-773-2587 or go online to http://www.1800speakup.org.
